Project 4- Feeling the news

* This project was a take off an assignment on the website www.learningtoloveyourmore.com it was seeing a new perspective on a person or story in the news by picking something out of their lives that they normally would not report about. Some i made funny and others were a little more serious.

Project Three - Digital Photography

*I must say I definitely had the most fun with this project, each picture has a combination of atleast five other pictures within it. The purpose of the project was to create a landscape of a place you would like to escape to hence the name of the project. The first picture i created using photoshop is a place thats inbetween a fairy tale and a warm cozy autumn day. I love the fall season it always reminds me of warm memories and i love when the leaves change.

*The second picture is more surreal, it is suppose to represent a place of timlessness, a dream state where nothing really has to make sense, the ruins in the middle i made out of different brushes in photoshop to make it look ancient and mysterious. I wanted to give it a new age look yet with sacred history.

Project Two - Digital Photography

*My perspective of what makes up an "ego" in simplest form is, how we may think people view us, and how we may be swayed to view others, judgement, misinterpreted views, categorizing and stereo-typing.
How we may view others says a lot about who we are, at least i feel it to be so.

*The first picture i created is about Selflessness, the person in the picture is representing a person who has no invasive thoughts of how people may view her or how she may view someone else. She is in a tranquil state of mind, happy with herself not paying any attention to the physical perception of the self. Purifying her thoughts and mind.. She does not care what she looks like.. etc. This person is only interested in who she is within and carelessly forgetting about the exterior.

*The second picture of a guy getting sucked into the mirror, it's a metaphor of the inner-self battling with the ego (the exterior self). How people can let their ego alter the perception of their reality.

*The third picture, what is money after the letters, symbols and fancy embossed sillouetts are erased? ...paper and metal. The thought of how we as a society and world put so much power into these objects its just silly. Which this can also tie into the perception of the ego as well for example, many people are judged by how much money they make or put into catagories by society by their jobs and what they do for a living, And all of it revolves around money.

*The last picture of the buddha head floating is representing the balance of it all, the ying and the yang, the positive and negative, and how to create a harmony with both. An interesting view buddhist have and also a practice of zen is... You must lose yourself in order to find yourself.

Project One - Digital Photograpy

* The first picture is of an electrical power line with fishing tackle tangled all around it while the second picture is more obvious; a tree wearing headphones. My objective is the relation of how technology is interfering with nature.. the cause and effects and the negative aspects of it all yet making it humorous.

*The third picture and forth picture are about producing new ways of energy, natural energy. The light bulb is completely out of its element which makes it a comical perspective on a very important matter.  I wanted people to look at the saving the planet and reducing our dependency on oil and such as a positive one, to not get caught up in the hopeless politics of it all and focus on truly wanting to help make our planet a better place for everyone.

*The last two pictures are focused on the idea of boundaries, each picture is a depiction of a non-concrete or temporary boundary. Visible yet invisible.  This is such a vague statement you could really apply this to many subjects, i just left it open.  Although one idea i did come up with and hope to eventually base a project around is the idea of the boundaries in our minds or that which we create as human beings. (socially, mentally, physically)
